Tredegar's Composer in Residence Matt Hall has been extremely busy of late, but its not about to ease up for him!

Off the back of Tredegar's success with Swing Fever, where Matt arranged 16 Big Band hits for brass band, he is now being kept busy with the National Eisteddfod where more arrangements are waiting.

Matt will have 2 of his recent original works for Brass Band featured at the Only Men Aloud Concert on Friday 30th July, performed by Tredegar. The first piece 'Dragon's Rise' helped the band to gain victory at the Eisteddfod in 2008 and the second 'Activate' has been a cornerstone of the bands entertainment contest and concert programmes this year, helping the band to 1st prize at Yeovil and Porthcawl.

For the Gymnafa concert on Sunday 1st August, Matt has been commisioned to arrange several of the hymns to be performed by the band and choirs in the massed concert. This is a great honour to be asked to arrange for such a prestigious event at the National Eisteddfod.

It looks like its going to be a busy month again for Mr Hall and with the quality of compositions and arrangements being produced, he may be busy for a great deal longer than just August!
