This SEWBBA Contest traditionally takes place in May. Normally in Ebbw Vale but for 2008 this took place in Tredegar.

The West Wales BBA traditionally hosts this contest in September. The venue alternates between Ammanford (even years) & Burryport (odd years).

The Treorchy Contest is the traditional ‘end of year’ contest in November.

This Contest ran between 1979 - 1987 and from 1990 - 1996
In 1997 the Band were awarded the title “Radio Wales Brass Band of the Decade” in a special contest that featured the best winning bands from the 1990’s |
