Concert in Bedwellty Park - we were proud to open the annual band series in Bedwellty Park this weekend (8th June), the Band played to a full audience in glorious sunshine and included in the programme where some old favourites:
Men of Harlech West Side Story Puttin’ on the Ritz Indiana Jones A Little Prayer Ruby Tuesday And many more...
We also hand some great Solo performances from Dewi Griffiths, Andrea Lewis and Steve Barnsley. All of whom where on top form and gave excellent performances, well done guys and gals!

Saturday 21st June, the Band will be taking part in celebrations to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Town Clock in Tredegar. The Band will lead a Parade leaving St. George’s Church at 11am and finishing at the Clock where happy birthday will be sung @ 12 (accompanied by the Band). The Band can then be heard in concert at the bandstand in Bedwellty Park from 12.30 for 45 minutes.
On Sunday 22nd June, the Band will be recording for Radio 2’s “Listen to the Band” before racing back to Tredegar to accompany the hymns in a “Songs of Praise” taking place around the Town Clock from 2pm.
The 10 piece ensemble will be playing at an event on Saturday 5th July to commemorate 60 years of the NHS.
The band will be recording their new CD during July 2008 so keep an eye on the site for details and availability. |
