Most memorable banding moment The Area Finals at Swansea 2008 winning with Tredegar - an incredible day… just pipping “Gloria” (the inflatable friend) on a Whit Friday (80’s) - she was Goodshaws mascot in full band uniform, last seen disappearing into the night with an anonymous band chap (called David Clayton)
Most embarrassing band moment “Czardas” (EEb Bass) graveyard shift—Dobcross Band Club. Got through relatively unscathed though flagging. Until final note (supposed to be held for about 3 weeks!)… Tried, but failed and wimped out meekly, octave down, in total exhaustion. Following polite applause, bowed and explained “I’m sorry but this instrument didn’t come with a top D in it!”
