Martra’s Dance
A top class opening - by all. So much conviction - all to good effect - A fine opening
The Lark in the Clear Air
A musical opening - Soloist ‘sings’ well - nicely supported by all, perhaps the odd little moment is there! but you knew didn’t you? Soloist excels in the variations, band support is of the highest order. A lovely approach to [56] this is real music. Just a ‘blip’ spoils the soloist but it is no real matter in the contrast of this music. Just a pity about the ending. This was so musically done.
Dance Fever
Classy stuff this - so much conviction - good detail - need I say more? [D] A little bit loud here! but what a recovery. Always in control! Right to the end! Thank you
A Gaelic Blessing
Not quite as one to open - but you do settle/ Lovely flugel sounds - so well supported by all - Bravo Euph! [B] Builds well. A top class sound ensues - Beautiful close!
Duelling Xylos
Top class entertainment - fun too!!!
Thanks a bunch!
Graduation Day - Fugue
Opening of good conviction - nicely balanced & fine playing. I do hear all the actual detail [O] is in good taste. [P] Contrast well and you do get the style right - Than you for that!
[T] Not too much articulation in the Solos please - then you re-enter the Fugue with so much conviction - this is playing of the highest order. [X] has good detail [Y] you still have something left in the tank - What a finale!!
A performance of high merit - worth listening too from the first note to the last. A pity about the blips soprano - but there was so much fine playing - words are difficult to find.
Thank you very much indeed |
