A big sound, perhaps a little hurried for real rhythmic stability.  Comers and phrase ends could have more rounding and care.  Lead tunes are occasionally lost and turns do hurry causing rhythmic unease.  It is really well tuned though but as the dynamic increases so does the tempo causing technical difficulty.  Some good playing though and well shaped if lacking just a little more stability.

Pedals are unnecessary!  Well shaped and expressive in duets thought.  Excellent Euphonium and good ensemble at [1].  [2] not exactly precise.  [3] a rocky start but well controlled rhythmically.  [4] moves well and duets are expressive with seamless joins.  Well shaped through [5].  [6] horns a little hard but played with poise.  [7] links well but lump before [8].  Excellent duel cadenza.  All goes well and dynamics shaped beautifully - Super Trombone!  [11] slightly loose but great sounds to close.

Dynamically active but accents are unnecessary.  [2] has slips and quavers heard slightly .  Some tuning in Repiano / Flugel.  [5] could be more ‘pp’.  [8] tuning problems in Euphonium / Cornet then moved well and captured the mood.  Very expressive cornet with just miner slips.  [10]  was a little sloppy - as was entry into [11].  A good close but unbalanced last note.

Some super playing at times here with some lovely contribution from soloists.  The first movement had some looseness but the 2nd was so expressive and musical.  Overall a fine band and musical reading.
